Notably, the team's choice of commemorative imagery triggered fan outrage in the comments section.

The photo shared by the Heat featured Dwyane Wade dunking, but it had been edited to crop out LeBron James—who was originally in the image—and awkwardly photoshop Chris Bosh into the frame, despite Bosh not being present in the original shot.

Fans flooded the comments with backlash:

  • "Where is LBJ? This is disgusting."

  • "We owe it all to LeBron. The least you could do is include him in the photo, for God's sake!"

  • "This is hilarious—what a petty move. Can't even be bothered to include LeBron? So salty, you assholes."

  • "Miami Heat, you're a disgrace of a franchise. All fans should boo you. Cold-blooded organization. No wonder Jimmy Butler wanted out and Dwyane Wade left. Nobody wants to stay here. Fuck you."

Some anti-LeBron users also chimed in:

  • "LMAO, good riddance to soft-ass LeBron."
